| POWER-POINT PRESENTATION TIPS |
PowerPoint presentation tips . . .
- Choose appropriate colors for your presentation. Use a solid background color and text that contrasts clearly with the background. Please note that colours in the projector output may not look as dark as it looks on the monitor.
- Use slides with a horizontal frame to fit any projector or screen.
- Avoid vertical lettering.
- Please use a font size that will be visible to a large audience and fonts that are clearly legible.
- Each slide should be short and simple and cover one theme or topic.
- Do use a widespread font (e.g. Arial, Trebuchet MS, Verdana or Times New Romans) which most computers will support.
- Use a maximum of two type face fonts and colours on one slide for maximum effect. One colour with black is advisable.
- Animation between and in slides is most welcome if they are useful to effectively communicate your contents. Do not use animation for the sake of using it!
- Always test your presentation on different computers so you can be sure it works properly out of a general IBM compatible PC.
- To prevent time loss due to technical problems, you will be asked to provide the PowerPoint file to the Conference IT officer on the day prior to your talk schedule.
