ABSTRACT INSTRUCTIONS

The Technical and Organizational Advisory Committee invites you to submit your current and  innovative work, case studies on best practices and recent research experiences that are relevant under the three broad conference themes given below for inclusion in the programme of the International Conference on Humid Tropics.

  1. Changes and challenges in humid tropics
  2. Opportunities for meeting the challenges
  3. Environmental futures and global partnerships.

Under these three broad themes of the conference, participants are strongly encouraged to present papers in the areas of interest stated in the conference overview page for the dedicated sessions.

*Please note presentations on species should feature globally threatened taxa or very charismatic or keystone species in the humid tropics that are clearly at risk of extinction due to over-exploitation or habitat change (natural or human induced) in the presenter’s country or geographic region. The mere description of a tropical species or their behaviour will not qualify for inclusion in this conference.

Queries and technical clarifications regarding the above areas of interest can be made to Dr Jinie Dela (anuama@nsf.ac.lk).

The Technical Review Panel for the conference will review abstracts for suitability and quality. Accepted works will be organized into the technical sessions according to topic and schedule.
Submission of the abstract implies that one of the authors will attend the conference and present the work described in the abstract.
