We are pleased to inform you that the deadline for submission of the above mentioned Award has been extended to 30th November, 2008.
Please note however that the Michel Batisse Award is designed for existing biosphere reserves to valorize on-going efforts in biosphere reserve management, in line with the recommendations of the Seville Strategy. Therefore, this award is not for future studies and/or surveys to be undertaken in a site.
The National Science Foundation (NSF) cordially invites you to submit a case study before the 21st of November, 2008 through email to dir@nsf.ac.lk with a copy to christine@nsf.ac.lk. The format of the application form is same as in the announcement posted earlier. The relevant application and more details can be also viewed at the UNESCO website: www.unesco.org.
